Praveen Babu J is a part of one of the best gastroenterology hospitals in Kerala, India. Currently working at Almas Hospital in the Gastro Sciences Department, he is making a great contribution to the health sector. His qualifications include an MBBS degree, then DNB General Surgery. Next, he did M. Ch Surgical Gastroenterology . 

He worked as a senior registrar in the Department of Surgical Gastroenterology and Liver Transplant, GG Hospital, Trivandrum  from 2017 to 2019. While his expertise includes basic and advanced laparoscopy, upper GI, HPB and colo-rectal surgeries. He has also rendered her services in GI Emergencies and has efficiently managed postoperative complications, adult intensive care, and pain management.

Dr. Praveen is also multilingual with command over English, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi. He is accredited for the publication of case reports including “Primary Mantle Cell Lymphoma of Pancreas” and “Malignant Peripheral Nerve Sheath tumour at the gastroesophageal junction”. His other case report publications includes “Giant peritoneal loose body in a patient with COVID-19 infection”, “Acute abdomen in budd chiari syndrome - a rare cause and differential diagnosis” and “Ectopic Pancreas presenting as ampulloma with obstructive jaundice: Case report and review of literature”.
