Dr. Farsana M is a dedicated and patient-focused Dermatologist with strong academic credentials and over 1.5 years of post-MD clinical experience in the diagnosis and management of a wide spectrum of skin, hair, and nail disorders. She is currently serving as a Senior Resident in the Department of Dermatology at Government Medical College, Manjeri, where she is actively involved in patient care, academic discussions, and clinical teaching. She completed her MBBS from MES Medical College Hospital, Perinthalmanna, followed by MD in Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy (DVL) from Government Medical College, Kottayam, graduating with First Class. She has also successfully cleared the DNB Dermatology examination conducted by the National Board of Examinations, reflecting her strong foundation in evidence-based dermatological practice. Dr. Farsana has comprehensive expertise in general dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, dermatosurgery, and STI management. Her clinical skills include dermoscopy, skin biopsies, electrocautery, cryotherapy, intralesional injections, and the management of chronic dermatological conditions such as acne, psoriasis, eczema, fungal infections, alopecia, and pigmentary disorders. She also has hands-on experience in aesthetic dermatology, including chemical peels, PRP therapy, laser treatments, botox, and acne scar management, with a focus on safe procedures and natural-looking results. Her approach emphasizes detailed patient counseling, individualized treatment planning, and long-term skin health. An academically inclined dermatologist, Dr. Farsana was honored with the Best PG Article Souvenir Award (2024) by IADVL Kerala, recognizing her excellence in academic dermatology. She actively participates in clinical case discussions, departmental academic meetings, and dermatology conferences. She also demonstrates leadership in the dermatology community and currently serves as Joint Secretary, Mid-CUTICON Kerala 2025, a state-level dermatology conference organized by IADVL Kerala.
