Dr. Athira Sasidharan completed her medical degree from Sree Uthradom Thirunal Academy of Medical Sciences, Thiruvananthapuram, followed by a post graduation in hematopathology and oncopathology at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal. She also holds a DNB. In 2018, she began her career as an Assistant Professor at Government Medical College, Calicut.  Dr. Athira's expertise contributes to Almas Hospital's reputation as setting the gold standard in Kottakkal for pathology care services. Her areas of interest include immunohematology, immunohistochemistry, Oncopathology flow cytometry, transfusion medicine, gross processing, fine needle aspiration, and biopsy evaluation.

Dr. Athira enjoys teaching and the challenges that the ever-changing healthcare sector provides. Currently, she serves as an Assistant Professor at KMCT Medical College, Calicut. 

Dr. Athira has published on a variety of oncopathology and hematopathology-related topics, given lectures, and participated in paper and poster presentations at national and international pathology congresses.
