Dr. Venugopalan A.V. is one of Kerala's most experienced Urologists, with over 30 years of expertise in advanced urological care, minimally invasive surgery, uro-oncology, and kidney transplantation. As the Head of the Department of Urology at ALMAS Hospital, he leads the department with a strong focus on clinical excellence, innovation, and compassionate patient care.

He completed his MBBS from Government Medical College, Thrissur, followed by MS in General Surgery and MCh in Genitourinary Surgery & Andrology from Government Medical College, Kozhikode. Before joining ALMAS Hospital, he served as a faculty member in the Department of Urology at Government Medical College, Kozhikode, for over two decades and was the Head of the Department for the last five years of his service.

Dr. Venugopalan provides comprehensive care for a wide range of urological conditions, including kidney stones, enlarged prostate, urinary tract disorders, bladder problems, urinary infections, male infertility, erectile dysfunction, and cancers of the kidney, bladder, and prostate. A highly accomplished Renal Transplant Surgeon, Dr. Venugopalan has performed more than 1,500 donor and recipient kidney transplant surgeries. His expertise covers every stage of kidney transplantation, from patient evaluation and donor surgery to transplant procedures, post-operative care, and long-term follow-up.

He has a special interest in Uro-Oncology, offering advanced surgical treatment for cancers of the kidney, bladder, prostate, and urinary tract. He also provides expert care in Andrology and Men's Health, treating conditions such as male infertility, erectile dysfunction, varicocele, and hormonal disorders.
