Dr. Abdul Salam , an accomplished consultant psychiatrist is serving Almas Hospital Kottakkal. He completed his MBBS degree from AIIMS, Delhi, and then attained an MD PSYCHIATRY qualification from NIMHANS, Bangalore. After that, he completed DNB Psychiatry course to master his expertise. 

He has worked as a senior resident at Manjeri Medical College for one year. He was also engaged in the department of cardiology and department of lab medicine at AIIMS Delhi for six months each. Moreover, he rendered his services as a junior resident in NIMHANS, Bangalore for three years, and then was upgraded to a senior resident at Manjeri Medical College where he worked for a year. 

He is multilingual, with command over Malayalam, Hindi, English, Kannada, and Tamil. His professional associations include the Indian Psychiatry Society (IPS) and Indian Medical Association (IMA). While his clinical expertise and services encompass the diagnosis and management of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (ADHD, Autism, SLD, etc), Geriatric psychiatry (Dementia, etc), Adult Psychiatry Services (OCD, Psychosis, BPAD, Depression), Addiction Psychiatry, Marital Therapy, Perinatal Mental health and Psychiatric Rehabilitation services.

He is recognized to be a third-prize winner in a quiz competition organized by AMSCON 2022.
